About us
Every Saturday
The Rutland Railway Museum, located in the historic Center Rutland railroad station, is a non-profit organization of dedicated railroad enthusiasts ranging from railfans, train spotters, railroad historians and model railroaders. The group manages a small, but informative, museum focusing on the local rail services that provided freight and passenger traffic for the area and curating the collection of railroad artifacts began by Henry Carris. Along with the museum, there are 2 operating model train layouts, one in N Scale and the other in HO Scale.
The club maintains an open house every Saturday from 11:00 until 3:00 and enjoys having visitors to view museum’s collections and train layouts. Knowledgeable staff will always answer questions and guests are encouraged to interact with members during their visit.
Watch this website for news of future developments, programs and events planned by the Rutland Railway Museum.
The station is located at 79 Depot Lane in Center Rutland near Carris Reels. Come visit; stay a while and watch the trains go by!
